What happens after the silence?

Pop-up reveals the aesthetic power born from the retreat

12 Dec - 14 Dec 2025

After the pause, the purification, the return to the essential. After Silence brings together nine artists from different geographies, backgrounds and languages that converge in this moment of clear and conscious re-entry into plastic thought. The pop-up exhibition starts from the premise that silence is a state of gestation, a clean space where painting, photography, sculpture and design gradually gain a precise form.

The works presented are structured into three cores that trace a visual path between construction — how we think and organise the world — intimacy — how we feel and reveal what is interior — and presence — how we occupy and inscribe the body in space.

Manuel Caeiro, Martim Brion and Frederico Cordeiro explore the core of construction, architecture and geometric rigour.

Sofia de Aguiar, Luciana Mendé and Ana + Betânia work on the intimate gesture, art as an emotional and poetic territory.

In the third core, the hallmark is density. Here, Nicolas Lefeuvre, Graça Pereira Coutinho and Mariana Ralo move between the disciplined gesture, volume and tension, sometimes suspended, sometimes contained.
