Resulting from a three-week residency in the house where Mísia lived — a place of creation and memory —, the original performance by the duo Beatriz Albuquerque & Albuquerque Mendes will be presented to the public on 18 June 2026, the fado singer's birth date.
The work is an invitation to attentive listening, affective presence and a re-encounter with the power of enchantment, based on Mísia's artistic legacy. Through living archive practices, the artists rescue and transform objects, sounds and images from the singer's intimate universe, activating them in a performative space that is both poetic and political, a manifesto of resistance.
The duo, representing two different generations of artists, has created and performed in various performances, such as Escrito no Futuro, Auditório de Serralves; Magic Circle, Vila Velha Museum; Sombras, Improvisações, Coliseu Porto; Changes, Galeria Nuno Centeno and Love me tender, Festival Trama, Museu Serralves.
